techsansviolence.net a été initié par le Programme d'appui aux réseaux de femmes de l'Association pour le progrès des communications (PARF d'APC). Le PARF d'APC est un réseau international de femmes de plus de 35 pays, engagées en faveur du changement social et de l'autonomisation des femmes par l'utilisation judicieuse des technologies de l'information et de la communication (TIC).

As part of the 16 Days of Activism for fighting against violence we are preparing in the period from November 25 to December 10 2008 two activities in Pointe-Noire (the second city of Congo):

We will do a competition with children in a school on how to fight violence against children, specially young girls. They will make poems, drawings, recitals... on how to fight against
violence against girls, and will be awarded.

La Asociación Latinoamericana de Educación Radiofónica (ALER) fue creada en 1972, cuando 18 radios de la iglesia católica deciden asociarse. Estas emisoras venían alfabetizando a distancia, especialmente en el campo. Al juntarse buscaban mejorar la planificación y evaluación de los programas educativos, capacitar al personal de las emisoras, encontrar apoyo económico internacional, entre otros objetivos. La radio puramente educativa pronto cambió.

Silence Speaks is an international digital storytelling initiative that aims to provide survivors and witnesses of violence and other forms of trauma with a safe, supportive venue in which to tell their stories in video format. A project of the Center for Digital Storytelling (CDS), Silence Speaks has over the past eight years conducted a total of 32 intensive workshops in locations throughout the U.S. as well as in South Africa, Australia, Canada, and Uganda.
